The British music media NME or New Musical Express has now bought a stake in the Icelandic news media Albumm.com.
NME is one of the most respected and oldest music media in the world, but it was founded in London in 1952 and since then has covered all kinds of music in detail! Albumm also covers music in detail, but Albumm went live in October 2014 and since then has grown rapidly and is today one of the leading media in the country. There are big things ahead for Albumm and there is great excitement for the coming times.

They are Steinar Fjeldsted (executive director) and Sigrúna Guðjohnsen (CEO, webmaster and concept designer) who are the founders and part owners of Albumm.com, together with NME or Bandlab Technologies as the company is called which owns and operates NME. When Steinar is asked about the purchase price and the percentage, he answers: „Sigrún and I still own the majority of Albumm.com and the purchase price is a secret, but at least we’re damn happy with it all.”
