Karma Brigade is a young up-and-coming Icelandic pop-rock band consisting of five members. The members all play instruments, most of them more than one, and they are known for a large soundscape and sincere performance.
On April 7, the band released a new song from the next album, the song OPEN SKY, which will be on the album These are The Good Old Days. That album has in common with their previous album States of Mind, that it contains a large soundscape and is written, arranged and mixed by the band members.
The song OPEN SKY is about thinking back and remembering the good old days. The song is beautiful and heartwarming and reminds you how beautiful every moment is and how important it is to stop and enjoy every moment. The soundtrack is simple, but big, and synthesizers make up a large part of it. It is sincere and hits the heart.
The band consists of members with different backgrounds, which results in a unique, dynamic soundscape full of voices and original songwriting.
Karma Brigade won the title of People’s Band at Músíktilraun in 2018 and 2019, and they recently won Sykurmolann, a song contest at radio station X977. The band released their first album, States of Mind, in 2021. In the summer of 2023, the next album, the album These are the good old days, will be released. The songs on it are a new beginning in the band’s musical sense. Members strongly feel that the period they are experiencing now will later in life be referred to as “the good old days”.
The band has traveled widely, to Denmark and Germany, and recently the band finished a mini-tour in New York, where they played three venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Karma Brigade thinks big and says the dream is to travel and play their music for the world, to inspire others to wade and live in the present. Singing is the main focus of the album, but all members of the choir participate in it.
Three songs that will be on the next album are already out. The songs ALIVE, WAITING MAN and LOOK UP.The first song from the upcoming album, ALIVE, was released on November 4 last. along with a music video that can be seen here.

The name of the band means that it evokes good karma, or as you can say:
“Karma Brigade are the bringers of good karma”.
