Kári Egilsson or KÁRI releases his first album. The album is called Palm Trees In The Snow and contains 12 songs by Kári.
The album can best be described as advanced pop with catchy melodies and ambitious arrangements. Four songs have previously been released from the album. There are Something Better, Moonbeams, Sleepwalking and Untamed Horses.
Kári sings and plays the keyboard. Albert Finnbogason was in charge of recording. Other instrumentalists on the album are Magnús Trygvason Eliassen on drums, Ómar Guðjónsson on pedal steel guitar, Gyða Valtýsdóttir on cello, Una Sveinbjarnardóttir on violin and viola, Eiríkur Orri Ólafsson on trumpet and flugelhorn and Ingi Garðar Erlendsson on trombone. The album was recorded in Sundlauginn and Úslandía.

Kári Egilsson is 20 years old, born in 2002. He started learning the piano at the age of seven. He is a very versatile musician, playing jazz, classical and pop equally. Kári is a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston and received a generous grant to study there. He is the recipient of the American ASCAP Young Songwriters Inspirational Award.
The album is out on all major streaming services, but is expected on vinyl this summer.
